Casella Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge (TBRG)

Casella Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge (TBRG)

The Casella Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge (TBRG) is a high-precision instrument engineered for reliable and accurate rainfall measurement across a wide range of environmental conditions. Designed to meet the demands of hydrology, agriculture, climate research, and remote monitoring, it offers dependable performance even in harsh weather.

Rainfall is collected through a 400 cm² aperture into a calibrated bucket that tips once full, activating a contact closure signal for seamless data logging. This simple yet effective mechanism ensures consistent and repeatable measurements.

Available in multiple sensitivity options, 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm, or 0.5 mm per tip, the TBRG delivers an accuracy of approximately 1 litre per hour, making it suitable for virtually all monitoring applications. For colder climates or regions with heavy precipitation, a heated version is also available to prevent freezing and maintain performance.

Installation is straightforward, and the sensor’s fast response time allows users to react quickly to changing weather conditions. With minimal maintenance requirements and robust construction, the Casella Tipping Bucket is a trusted solution for long-term environmental data collection.
